Where can I go for a cheap vacation? Where Our dollar is of higher value?
My wife and I would like to go traveling but at this stage of our life (We are still in college) we cannot afford grand vacations to Europe just yet. But we do want to travel and want some ideas on places we can go for cheap. Maybe a country where our dollar is of high value yet still a nice country to visit. Any ideas?? I hear Dominican Republic and Costa Rica arecheap but when I look online it doesn’t appear to be ascheap as everyone is saying.
Yaz answers:
Try checking out Wisconsin Dells.. Because i heard that you can save a lot of bucks in that vacation. Aside from saving much I learned that Wisconsin dells is the water park Capital in the world.

What is the cheapest way to fly to from Illinois to Costa Rica?
I’m going to Costa Rica for school in August and am wondering the cheapest way to do it, I live 2 hours from O’Hare and 2 hours from Milwaukee also. Thanks for the help!!
Yaz answers:
Your best bet is to go out of O’Hare.
For August, Sprirt has a $442 fare, but after the seat charges and carry-on charges are added in, it will be $540.
Personally, I would go with Taca Airlines. It’s a very good airline that’s always on time and provides good customer service. They are $520 and you get free carry on and up to 2 checked bags (50lbs each). They have a very young fleet (no 40 year planes like AA). And their newest planes have individual back-of-the-seat TV’s. You get a FREE hot meal and FREE drinks (including alcoholic). It’s only a 1 hour layover in San Salvador or Guatemala. Total travel time is only about 7 hours.
The next best would be Continental for $537 through Houston. Also an excellent airline.

Would it be cheaper to buy a Costa Rica vacation package from Hotels.com or separately?
I’m planning a short trip to Costa Rica for about 5-6 days. Would it be cheaper to buy a vacation package deal from hotels.com or buy airfare separately online and then book hotels locally when I get there? Where would be a good andcheap place to stay in San Jose and Quepos? What are the availability around this time of year? What is the best traveling method from San Jose to Quepos?

Go to

www.ilovecostarica.com for info…. Or
www.truecostarica.com loads of info available.
I saw book a package deal, especially cheaper if you want to actually tour the countryside….there are some wonderful deals for just under $1,000 for 10 days including tours throughout the country, meals and hotels throughout the country. You get to see the sites, taste the foods and stay at more than one hotel/villa! I have friends in San Jose and hope to go down for a visit next spring – stay with them some, but plan to take a package tour also…Have fun!

Where can i get a Hepatitis A Vaccine and how much would it cost?
I will be traveling to Costa Rica this summer and this vaccine information would be great to know. Thanks.
Yaz answers:
You should get hep a and b vaccines. You can get them low cost at your county health department or at your regular doctors. It’s a multi shot process that you have to go back for, so get started soon.
It’s quite cheap…i think i paid like $50 total at the health department a few years ago.

What Hotels do you recommend in Manuel Antonio Beach Costa Rica?
am looking for something Cheap but decent and clean. Travelling with my parents and a 2 year old. I am staying 5 days in Costa Rica,
Yaz answers:
If you’re looking for cheap then the best recommendation is to look somewhere besides Manuel Antonio as prices there are higher than anywhere else in Costa Rica.
Hotel Playa Espadilla near the park entrance is nice and there are some reasonable options like Mono Azul or Tres Banderas on the hill. In Quepos (5km north of Manuel Antonio park) the widemouth frog backpackers is cheap, decent and clean.

Need a cheap way to get to Costa Rica?
My family and I want to go back to Costa Rica next summer for a couple of months. We’re teachers so we have lots of time and little money.
I can’t afford the nearly $3,000 it takes to fly there and back.
Does anyone know a cheaper way to go, even if it is slow. I can be very flexible about departure and arrival dates and times.
I’ve heard of booking passage on cargo ships. Know anything about that?
Oh, 2 adults and 2 kids traveling fom Texas, if that matters.
